The Schedule That is Used for a Wedding Reception
In order for a wedding reception to be successful a good schedule will be needed so that the event can go off properly. Here is a look at a good schedule that can be used for a wedding reception.
The first hour of the reception should be one that is used as a cocktail hour. This is a time when people can stand out, walk around and get cocktails and other drinks. Music can be played and appetizers can be served if one wishes to do it.
After about an hour the bride and groom should reach the reception site. This is a time that will be used in that all of the photos that the bride and groom will have gone through should have been completed at this point. When the bride and groom enter the guests should get to their appropriate seats. The bride and groom will then be able to perform their customary first dance together.
Later on during the hour the toasts for the couple will begin. This works in that the people who are related to the married couple will be able to say some words about the couple. The best man will be the first person to speak here. The maid of honor will then speak after this happens. The parents can speak and in some cases other people involved in the wedding can join in on the event.
For about two hours after the toasts are handled a number of different activities can be handled. Dining, dancing and mingling can take place. The cutting of the wedding cake and the traditional dances can be handled as well.
After the two hours of time are used the last song of the evening will be played. The bride and groom will then leave the event and head out to their getaway vehicle for their honeymoon. The wedding gifts that the couple will get will be packed into the vehicle by the parents of the couple. All of the people involved with getting the reception set up will then clean up as the guests leave the area.
This is an important schedule to watch for. This is something that is used to help with making a
wedding
reception something that is truly going to be memorable. It will also be used as a means of making sure that the entire event is going to be well organized and can go as planned.
