Bath Set
Who is meant to set a bath?
Our plumber isn’t prepared to set the base for the bath tub and he is asking us to get this arranged. The plumber has done the pipe work but wants the room waterproofed, then to get the tiler to start on the cement bed but not to apply the tiles yet, so he can set the bath.
Is this normal?
What is the process?
How am i supposed to do it myself?
This would be necessary for a tub that will have a platform around it such as a whirlpool or soaking tub. If it is a normal tub that goes up against the wall and the tile comes down to it then the tub would be set first and the cement board would come down to the tub.
